3 Strategies To Be 40% More Productive

Information Technology Blog - - 3 Strategies To Be 40% More Productive - Information Technology Blog

Do you know? There is a difference between being busy and being productive.

You could be busy with work the entire day and still not get much done. On the other hand, you might be able to produce results effortlessly, just by working smartly! That is called productivity.

Being productive all the time might seem impossible; after all, productivity is all about generating results, which takes time. However, you can always be more productive than you usually are and get more work done in less time.

Here are 3 effective strategies to be more productive.

Prioritize Your Tasks

You often try to accomplish many things at the same time. However, when you spread yourself too thin, you end up with nothing at all. Start by prioritizing your daily tasks. This will help you focus on one thing at a time.

You can prioritize your tasks based on 2 factors: importance and urgency.

A task’s urgency and importance is what matters the most when prioritizing. You can dedicate your time and effort into a task depending on these factors.

However, before prioritizing your tasks, you need to list them out. Creating a list of all the things you need to do and checking them out as they get completed can help you keep a track of your productivity.

You can use task management apps to assist you in creating a list of your daily tasks, prioritizing them and managing them. This will help you stay updated on your progress. You can also use a task management tool that will not only  allow you to prioritize your task list but also provide reminders when a deadline is near.

How does this help you become more productive?

When you prioritize your tasks, you get to focus on a single job at a time as opposed to dividing your attention on multiple things. You can finish that job perfectly and then move on to the next task.

Set Deadlines

Everyone gets the same 24 hours in a day to do their deeds, however, some people are more productive then the rest. The simple reason behind this is their obsession with deadlines.

People who stick to deadlines often get more work done than people who have no set time frames.

Being punctual is the key to productivity. So, set deadlines for all your tasks according to their importance or requirements.

Remember, these deadlines are for yourself alone, no one else is going to benefit from you finishing your work on time, except for yourself.

If you believe you will be able to finish a project within 2 hours, try your best to complete it in this time frame. If you are not able to complete it within the set deadline for some reason, you can extend this deadline and try to finish it as soon as possible.

Work Trackers or work allotment software are useful tools which help you maintain deadlines and keep a track of your activities. These tools can help you accomplish more jobs, increasing your productivity.

Appraise Your Own Performance

The productivity of a person is not only measured by the quantity of work he does, it is also measured by the quality of the work he delivers.

You might be a fast worker, but unless you are a quality worker, you cannot call yourself productive.

This is why self-appraisal is very important. You need to dedicate some time in reviewing the work that you do and understand how you can improve yourself.

At the end of the day, do not count the number of tasks you finished, instead dedicate 15 minutes into assessing your work.

This will help you understand how you can improve yourself and what skills you need to do so.

Focus on learning one skill at a time. This will allow you to master that particular skill which you can then use to improve your work quality.

Now, there is a difference in accessing your own work and having someone else access it for you. Getting feedback on your work from someone else is always a better way to understand your weakness.

When you access yourself your judgment is biased, however, when someone else reviews it, they give you honest opinions which can actually help you improve your work quality significantly.

Conclusion

There is no one way of measuring your productivity. It depends on different factors like, quality, quantity, efficiency, etc.

You can become more productive just by keeping these factors in mind and doing your work accordingly.

The simplest strategies of becoming 40% more productive are:

  • Prioritizing your tasks
  • Setting deadlines
  • Self-appraisal

Adopt these three strategies in your daily life and you will observe a significant rise in your productivity in terms of the quantity of work you complete, quality of work you deliver and the speed at which you do work.

9 VCs in Madrid and Barcelona discuss the COVID-19 era and look to the future

Spain’s startup ecosystem has two main hubs: Madrid and Barcelona. Most observers place Barcelona first and Madrid second, but the gap appears to close every year. Barcelona has benefitted from attracting expats in search of sun, beach and lifestyle who tend to produce more internationally minded startups. Madrid’s startups have predominantly been Spain or Latin America-focused, but have become increasingly international in nature. Although not part of this survey, we expect Valencia to join next year, as city authorities have been going all-out to attract entrepreneurs and investors. The overall Spanish ecosystem is generally less mature than those in the U.K., France, Sweden and Germany, but it has been improving at a fast clip. More recently, entrepreneurs in Spain have moved away from emulating success in pursuit of innovative technologies. Following the financial crisis, the Spanish government supported the creation of startups with the launch of FOND-ICO GLOBAL, a €1.5 billi...

Emulating USB Dongle – Introducing HASP Dongle Emulator Software

Information Technology Blog - - Emulating USB Dongle – Introducing HASP Dongle Emulator Software - Information Technology Blog Over the years the methods used by software developers and producers to limit the amount of users to a specific number in a licensing agreement have become more complex.  The aim of copy protection is to protect the intellectual rights and financial investment of the individual developers and manufacturing companies.   A way of getting around this protection is to reproduce the media through which you can deliver the application to other users,  meaning that the software can be replicated far in excess of that specified in the license. One of the most common methods has been to use hardware keys or dongles which will enable the user to activate an application, unlocking its full functionality without using a device.  In addition, it offers good protection against attempts to pirate the software.
