PUBG Mobile Might Get Banned In India Along With More Chinese apps

On June 29, the Indian Ministry of Electronics and Information technology (MeitY) banned 59 Chinese apps to protect citizen’s private data. At that time, the Indian gaming community was relieved that PUBG Mobile wasn’t on the list. However, things might still go dark for Indian PUBG Mobile players.

A report from News18 suggests that the Indian government is scanning 275 more apps for any potential threat to national security. Unfortunately, PUBG Mobile falls under the scanner along with other popular apps such as Ludo World, and Aliexpress.

When it comes to mobile games, PUBG Mobile is insanely popular in India, with a player base of millions. However, ever since the Indian government left out PUBG Mobile from the list of 59 banned Chinese apps, #PUBGBAN started trending on Twitter. Also, players instantly started looking for PUBG Mobile alternatives that aren’t Chinese.

Well, it looks like the most popular battle royale game is finally under the Indian government’s radar.

According to China’s National Intelligence Law of 2017, Chinese companies have to share all the information when asked upon by the Government. So, given the ongoing tension between India and China, the Indian Government has an excellent reason to scan the Chinese apps for any potential threats.

Nevertheless, there isn’t any official statement from MeitY on the PUBG Mobile ban in India, so it’s too early to start worrying about it.

Other apps that could be potentially banned in the upcoming days include Tencent’s Ludo World, 14 apps by Xiaomi, AliExpress, 3 apps by ByteDance including Resso, Ulike, Capcut, and apps from Meitu, LBE Tech, Perfect Corp, Netease Game and Sina.

9 VCs in Madrid and Barcelona discuss the COVID-19 era and look to the future

Spain’s startup ecosystem has two main hubs: Madrid and Barcelona. Most observers place Barcelona first and Madrid second, but the gap appears to close every year. Barcelona has benefitted from attracting expats in search of sun, beach and lifestyle who tend to produce more internationally minded startups. Madrid’s startups have predominantly been Spain or Latin America-focused, but have become increasingly international in nature. Although not part of this survey, we expect Valencia to join next year, as city authorities have been going all-out to attract entrepreneurs and investors. The overall Spanish ecosystem is generally less mature than those in the U.K., France, Sweden and Germany, but it has been improving at a fast clip. More recently, entrepreneurs in Spain have moved away from emulating success in pursuit of innovative technologies. Following the financial crisis, the Spanish government supported the creation of startups with the launch of FOND-ICO GLOBAL, a €1.5 billi...

Information Technology Blog - - Emulating USB Dongle – Introducing HASP Dongle Emulator Software - Information Technology Blog Over the years the methods used by software developers and producers to limit the amount of users to a specific number in a licensing agreement have become more complex.  The aim of copy protection is to protect the intellectual rights and financial investment of the individual developers and manufacturing companies.   A way of getting around this protection is to reproduce the media through which you can deliver the application to other users,  meaning that the software can be replicated far in excess of that specified in the license. One of the most common methods has been to use hardware keys or dongles which will enable the user to activate an application, unlocking its full functionality without using a device.  In addition, it offers good protection against attempts to pirate the software. In this article, we will look at th...
