TECHNATION (formerly Information Technology Association of Canada (ITAC)) is seeking a full-time Admin & Logistics Coordinator to support the Health and Industry Development portfolios

About the Role

ITAC is a dynamic and exciting place to work. The ideal candidate should be an exceptionally organized  self-starter, with initiative.  The candidate must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills along with the ability to work with two leaders remotely.

This role supports TECHNATION’s Executive Director of Health as well as TECHNATION’s Vice—President of Industry Development & Diversity and Inclusion with administrative and some marketing and event support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a wide variety of administrative, operational and some logistics and/or events/marketing support for the Executive Director, Health and the Vice-President, Industry Development and Diversity and Inclusion
  • Help Manage the ED Health’s and VP Industry Development to co-ordinate appointments, meetings and travel arrangements to ensure a high level of efficiency.
  • Help to organize and prepare for quarterly board meetings and committee meetings for Health and Ontario i.e. prepare reports, presentation decks, documents, spreadsheets and take meeting minutes
  • Co-ordinate and manage special projects and events as required.
  • Conduct some research and help to market and promote events and projects using CRM distribution lists (training will be provided)
  • Design and develop powerpoint presentations and conduct some basic industry research
  • Manage efficiently in a multi-tasked environment and ensure deadlines are met
  • Logistics and Event Support: Help support the Health and Industry Development leaders to host meetings, take notes, registrations, organize refreshments and snacks and post highlights to social media.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years of progressive relevant and related recent work experience
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Outstanding attention to accuracy and detail working cooperatively as a member of a team to meet unit goals and objectives
  • Excellent organizational skills including ability to multi-task
  • Proven ability to take initiative and work under pressure and meet deadlines;
  • Good judgment and decision-making skills, strong initiative; punctual and reliable
  • Proven advanced competence in managing calendars in Microsoft, managing MS office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  • Skills and knowledge in MS Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams), proficiency electronic mail and computerized scheduling
  • High level of attention to details, accuracy, and follow-up

  • Senior Leadership team
  • Communications, Event managers, and TECHNATION team

External:

The position could potentially include face-to-face, telephone, written and electronic communication with:

  • TECHNATION staff as well ask key designated representatives from member organizations
  • Health and Ontario Board members
  • Event management contacts at member organizations and Event venues
  • Senior staff from other Canadian and international industry associations

Assets

  • A completed post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant discipline
  • Proven customer service orientation (interpersonal) skills
  • Advanced Excel skills
