Backup and Restore

You can perform backup and restoration with the help of the RMAN tool or even customized scripts, and in the worst-case scenario, you can perform it manually.

You won’t have to worry about whether there is limited storage for backups as the Storage Cloud with the Database Cloud will take care of it for you.

To change your backup policy, all you need to do is log in to the Cloud portal and make the necessary changes.

Production

  • Each customer can schedule to refresh data from the production down to non-production instances. If this is not automated then customers will spend significant time, resources, and money for this task. Oracle Cloud makes this much simpler.
  • Using your Cloud Portal, with just a few clicks you can select an instance and create a snapshot of the entire instance. You can use this snapshot to create a new Dev or Test instance and then use the DPK or PTF to run tasks that will configure your instance.
  • You can also use Oracle Database Vault Service to secure your transactional data.

Monitoring

You can monitor Oracle Cloud using Oracle Application Performance Monitoring Cloud Service and Oracle Management Cloud that helps to unify DevOps for a healthy production and development ecosystem.

Using these tools, application monitoring becomes easy to set up. You can even auto-discover your PeopleSoft instance and start monitoring all critical services and servers, which will give you real-time information via the Cloud Portal.

Upgrade

Whenever a customer applies for an upgrade or update they can download a new image from the Oracle Support. The Oracle Cloud eliminates the prerequisites for the updates such as infrastructure provisioning, scheduling, and understanding of the installation procedure.

Customers can even choose the latest PUM instance, which is available as a full instance from the Oracle Cloud Marketplace. It also provides customers the freedom to download any number of PUM while only needing to pay for it when the instance is deployed.
